“Law of Volodya Pozner” Will Come after “Law of Dima Yakovlev”

Representatives of all four parliamentary fractions wrote a letter to Vladimir Pozner, having told him that soon they would introduce in the State Duma a bill to prohibit citizens of other countries to work on the state TV channels. "Recently in one of your commentaries you declared that deputies of the State Duma make the country a laughing-stock. You called the country supreme legislative body — "silly woman". Thus you pretended that it was slip of the tongue. But the content and tone of your statements force us to doubt sincerity of explanations," — is spoken in the letter available to "Interfax".

The document is signed by the deputy chairman of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Enforcement Andrey Lugovoy (LDPR), the first deputy chairman of the Ministry for Nationality Affairs Mikhail Starshinov ("United Russia"), the deputy chairman of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Enforcement Oleg Denisenko (CPRF) and the member of the committee of the State Duma on Defense Igor Zotov ("Just Russia").

Deputies declared that soon the bill forbidding foreign citizens to work on federal TV channels having state participation or support in case they allow statements or carry out activity directed on discredit of Russia will be introduced in the Duma.

Deputy Chairman of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Enforcement Andrey Lugovoy on air interview to "FM Kommersant" told: "Pozner felt himself comfortable saying such statements. His work on the state channel discredits the Russian people. His indecent statements can't be allowed on federal channels".

From editorial board: We also know who Pozner is. Earlier when I was decent person and from time to time was called to act in some programs on TV, it irritated me: they called me, I came and sat there without possibility to utter a word. Then Pozner used to say with understanding look: "Well, you understand... " It’s like saying "accept apology". Then I ceased to go, later they ceased to call me – harmony established.

Though when the destiny of Pozner and all journalists in general is solved by some snoots from the State Duma (it’s not slip of the tongue) whom we didn't choose and who were "drown" to us by electoral commission it’s even less pleasant to me, than Pozner. I can switch off Pozner at last, while it’s dangerous not to follow dorky laws of our State Duma.

By the way, Pozner doesn’t care - after all if after "Law of Dima Yakovlev" they will adopt "Law of Volodya Pozner", I think, he will be very popular.

We should think how we will stay in private with such, if one may say so, legislative body which, in addition, more and more often acts as one from four fractions - you won't understand, where the power and where opposition is. Snoots are alike.

If Lugovoy will appoint us leaders? Unless he will decide what in their statements suits to the Russian people and what not?

I am even not against - the state TV is so poor, let it go the way of progress, more people will get interested in FORUM.msk.

By the way, deputies overlooked one thing. Recently I was in the Bolshoi theater, it’s situated directly next to the State Duma building (it’s been directed also by the first vice speaker Zhukov – it’s written so in the leaflet, he is the chairman of the Board of Trustees), I listened to "Boris Godunov". So, the role of tsar Boris was executed by - the Italian! I remember it clearly, by Ferruccio Furlanetto. Just imagine, the Russia tsar is being sung by the Italian, he sings with accent! I think if Zhukov knows? What humiliation to the country and all people - tsar Boris - the Italian... From above the scene one can see captions in English, so if someone doesn’t understand in Russian, he could have a glance in English. So, half of the hall stared on them, I was among them...

I think deputies made a mistake. By the way, half of the troupe is foreigners. Imagine, sing in the Russian state theater with non-Russian accent. Captions in English! If it’s impossible to make captions in Russian? Though who are not natives should learn the language of the country of residence. It is necessary to adopt the law, I think... Allowing to hire actors to the Bolshoi and Maly theatres from among the Russian citizens with obligatory confirmation from the deputies of the State Duma profile committee. That all fractions were present on a parity basis. If tsar Boris is from "United Russia", Grishka Otrepyev should be from LDPR and the foolish from the CPRF.

Deputies should also act instead of Pozner, in turn. In "Comedy Club" or some "Nasha Russia" - good name, by the way, patriotic...
